Managing everyday stress

Stress becomes problematic when it is no longer a temporary reaction and starts to feel like a default mode. The body remains tense, the mind anticipates, and recovery becomes harder.

Hypnosis helps work directly with these automatic patterns of tension and alertness. It can support calmer inner reference points, release unnecessary strain and make responses more flexible.

Let’s talk about it

Easing anxiety and phobias

Anxiety and phobias can feel as if part of you reacts too quickly, too intensely, and sometimes against your conscious will. Some situations become charged before they have even happened.

Hypnosis offers a way to approach these reactions without forcing them. It can work with emotional associations, sensations and anticipation, gradually restoring safety, choice and movement.

Let’s talk about it

Restoring sleep and relaxation

Sleep often becomes fragile when the body cannot settle and the mind keeps running. Rest then becomes an effort instead of a natural return to recovery.

Hypnosis can help recreate inner conditions that support release. It encourages physical relaxation, calmer thoughts and a more confident relationship with falling asleep or recovering.

Working with eating patterns and compulsive habits

Some habits repeat even when you know they no longer serve you. They may respond to tension, emptiness, emotion or a need for control that is difficult to name.

Hypnosis allows you to explore what sustains the automatic pattern without judgment. It can help shift inner associations, restore choice and build responses more closely aligned with real needs.

Let’s talk about it

Strengthening self-confidence and finding your place

A lack of confidence may appear as hesitation, self-censorship or the feeling of not being fully legitimate. Finding your place can then become a constant effort to adapt.

Hypnosis helps mobilize resources that go beyond reasoning alone. It can work with inner posture, self-image and the ability to act with greater alignment.

Developing mental preparation

Before an exam, public speaking or an important deadline, pressure can make it harder to access abilities that are already there. The mind becomes busy, the body tightens and attention scatters.

Hypnosis can train the inner state you want to be available in. It supports concentration, grounding, confidence and access to useful resources at the right moment.

Finding meaning and direction

There are times when life loses clarity: old reference points no longer suffice, while the next step is not yet obvious. This transition zone can create fatigue, doubt or a sense of being stuck.

Hypnosis offers a space to listen differently to what is trying to emerge. It can help clarify impulses, needs and possible directions, reconnecting you with inner coherence.

Other themes to explore

Some requests do not fit neatly into a category: a blockage, transition, persistent emotion, relationship difficulty or a change that is not yet easy to put into words.

The initial call helps put words to the request, clarify the frame and assess whether hypnosis is appropriate. The work is then built around your concrete situation, at your own pace.

What is Ericksonian hypnosis?

Ericksonian hypnosis is based on an altered state of consciousness, close to what can happen when deep attention naturally settles on a thought, a sensation or an experience. Attention becomes more focused, inner dialogue quiets down and habitual ways of thinking can become temporarily more flexible. The practitioner uses metaphors, indirect suggestions and tailored language to support this inner exploration.

The person receiving support remains central throughout the process. They are not given a ready-made solution: they are guided toward their own resources, experiences and adaptive capacities. The aim is to allow a response to emerge that feels personal and coherent with their history, needs and pace.

A gentle, personalized approach

This work may involve self-image, the perception of one’s environment, the relationship to the past and the way the future is imagined. It can also explore beliefs, automatic responses and habits that influence behavior. The person remains conscious, keeps their free will and stays fully involved in the process.

Hypnosis does not replace medical care and cannot guarantee a specific result. The work is collaborative, respectful of your autonomy and adapted to your personal situation.

Hypnosis support around expatriation, languages and international life paths

A particular dimension: expatriation, languages and international life paths

Because of my bicultural and international background, these dimensions can be integrated with precision and sensitivity. Sessions can take place in French, English or German, depending on the language in which you feel most comfortable moving forward.

Expatriation, living between several languages or learning a new language can deeply transform the way you perceive yourself and relate to others. These experiences can be enriching, but they may also bring tension: loss of reference points, feeling out of place, difficulty finding where you belong, fatigue from constant adaptation or blocks in expression.

In some cases, speaking in a language that is not your own can affect confidence, spontaneity and the way emotions are expressed. The issue is therefore not only linguistic: it can also touch identity, belonging, inner security and the ability to feel fully yourself in a new environment.

How does the support process unfold?

A session is generally organized around four complementary phases, whose duration varies according to your goal and how the work evolves.

Clarifying the goal: an initial exchange helps clarify your request, context and desired changes. It also allows the work to be adjusted to the way you function.

Entering an altered state of consciousness: an induction phase gradually guides you toward a modified state of awareness. Attention becomes focused and inner dialogue settles, supporting work related to your goal.

Supporting inner work: the practitioner uses indirect suggestions, metaphors and mental associations to mobilize your resources. The work may involve beliefs, automatic patterns, habits or certain inner representations.

Integrating the work: the session ends with an integration phase designed to consolidate the work and help it take root in daily life.

Sessions take place in Maisons-Laffitte. They can also be held online when this format is appropriate, particularly after a first in-person session.

Denis Rohleder

Like a mountain guide, I accompany you on an inner journey within a professional, attentive and deeply respectful framework.

Every journey has its own terrain, pace and horizon. We move forward from your objective, your context and your way of functioning, choosing the landmarks that are most appropriate for you. The support respects your individuality, your pace and the mechanisms of hypnotic work. It thus becomes a tailor-made path, focused on what matters to you.

Trained in hypnosis at the ARCHE school in Paris, I offer clear, structured support focused on your goals for change.

As a French-German practitioner who has lived and worked in both Germany and France, I am particularly attentive to life paths shaped by different cultures, belief systems, life transitions and language-related issues.

My professional background has also led me to spend more than 25 years in demanding environments, across finance, trading floors, personal development and meditation. This experience allows me to connect hypnotic work with the concrete realities of everyday life: professional pressure, family responsibilities, important decisions, international contexts and periods of change.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ericksonian hypnosis suitable for everyone?

Ericksonian hypnosis is a flexible approach, but it is not automatically suitable for every situation. It requires active participation, even if gentle: agreeing with the process, being able to follow simple instructions and having a goal clear enough to guide the work.

The initial call is precisely there to check the frame: your request, current state, expectations and any precautions to consider. In cases of severe psychiatric disorder, significant dissociation, persistent pain or unexplored medical symptoms, medical or psychological advice may be necessary before considering hypnosis.

Can hypnosis be done online?

Yes. An online session can be relevant when the setting is stable enough: a quiet place, a reliable connection, the possibility of not being interrupted and basic physical comfort. Hypnosis does not depend only on being in the same room; it relies above all on attention, the relationship, the voice, inner imagery and the way the person enters the experience.

Online sessions can be useful when distance, expatriation, travel constraints or scheduling make in-person appointments difficult. Some requests are very well suited to this setting. Others require more care, and this is discussed during the initial exchange.

Can sessions be held in English or German?

Sessions are mainly held in French. English or German can also be used when this better fits your situation: international background, expatriation, life between several languages, or a need to express certain experiences in another language.

How many sessions are needed?

There is no standard number that applies to everyone. Some very focused requests may evolve in a few sessions; others require more gradual work, especially when they involve long-standing habits, recurring emotions, a life transition or several dimensions at once.

The most important point is to define an observable and realistic goal: what should be different in the way you react, feel, decide or act? From there, the pace is built progressively. The work is not a fixed program: it adapts to your evolution, to what emerges during sessions and to your ability to integrate change between appointments.

Does hypnosis replace medical care?

No. The hypnosis offered here is part of a support, well-being and personal change process. It does not replace a diagnosis, treatment, prescription, psychotherapy or medical follow-up when these are necessary.

If you are already followed by a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist or other healthcare professional, hypnosis may possibly complement that work, with caution and respect for the existing framework. Never modify or stop a treatment without the advice of the professional following you. In case of doubt, safety and appropriate medical advice always come first.
